We can take more pictures now than ever. Practically every device we own can take one. Pictures can be stored on computers, CDs, DVDs, thumb drives... Countless memories captured and safely locked up.
While we are delighted that we have lots of guarded photos, we find ourselves ultimately disappointed that we have no easy and satisfying way to reflect on memories and share with others where we have been.
Technology advancements are wonderful, but there is still nothing like sitting with friends and family reliving moments of the past through a story created with pictures and words.
What is the solution to the problem? A memory album - designed online and professionally printed. It combines the efficiency of today's technology with the gratifying simplicity of yesterday.
There are many companies in the business of creating albums, but none offer the level of quality, customization and value that are acceptable to us. So, we created what we were looking for ourselves. We created Life's a Trip Albums.

Life's a Trip Albums is a new company born from its parent companies, Color Portraits, Inc. and Van Gogh School Photographers, Inc.. These companies have been in business for over 50 years serving over 1,000 schools in five states by providing photography and yearbook services to 900,000 students each year. Our success in the very competitive school picture industry can be attributed to our relentless attention to detail. We refuse to give our customers anything less than the best. This makes us very demanding customers ourselves. In our industry, we lead the pack in the adoption of technology that gives our customers the best products and most efficient service.
If you want it done right, do it yourself.Our uncompromising nature has caused us to bring many services "in house" so that we are certain that our standard of quality is met at all times. One of the services we brought in house was the production of yearbooks. Each year we produce 160,000 yearbooks for our schools. We design, print, cover and bind all of our books at our company's office complex in Barrington, Illinois.
Our requirements are so great that Hewlett-Packard, the manufacturer of our presses, looks to us to determine quality and functionality they should build into the future generations of their presses.

It was a perfect match! Each memory album we produce tells a story perfectly and with it tells a bit of ours. Ours is a story of seeing what consumers need, desiring to exceed expectations while meeting that need and loving every minute of it.
